Basketball Recap: Indian Creek Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Indian Creek extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Alexa Sichting. The Indian Creek Braves took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 64-24 win over the Greencastle Tiger Cubs thanks in part to Sichting, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Bre Gault, who posted three points in addition to five assists and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Despite the loss, Greencastle saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sarah Simmerman had ten points.

Indian Creek now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Greencastle, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Indian Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-45 victory against Monrovia on the 10th. As for Greencastle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-23 loss against Danville on the 10th.
