The Bridgeland Bears will square off against the O'Connor Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bridgeland 1, O'Connor 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
O'Connor's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Bridgeland hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Bears never let Langham Creek get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Bears have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tara Tarnowski made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lexie Mingle, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Lilly Young, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Bridgeland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when O'Connor took on Sotomayor on Tuesday. The Panthers came out on top against the WILDCATS by a score of 5-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the WILDCATS recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
The result came thanks to Faith Mayfield's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, Ella De Luna was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Sierra, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.
Bridgeland's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for O'Connor, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bridgeland has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .470. However, it's not like O'Connor struggles in that department as they've averaged .432. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
