Elkin is 8-2 against Starmount since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Elkin will square off against Starmount at 5:30 p.m. Starmount took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Elkin, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Elkin sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Surry Central.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Starmount was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Mount Airy by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for Starmount in their meetings with Mount Airy: they've now lost seven in a row.

Elkin's win bumped their record up to 2-3-1. As for Starmount, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Elkin beat Starmount 2-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elkin since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
