Softball Recap: Punxsutawney Comes Up Short

Punxsutawney blew DuBois out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday DuBois got their revenge. The Chucks fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 8-6. That makes it the first time this season the Chucks have let down their home crowd.

Punxsutawney's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for DuBois, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Punxsutawney will venture away from home to square off against Clearfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for DuBois, they will challenge Brockway at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
