Softball Recap: Rio Hondo Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Rio Hondo's offense. They came up short against the Lyford Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 16-0. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Rio Hondo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Lyford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Coming up, Rio Hondo will be playing at home against Santa Rosa at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rio Hondo has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Lyford, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sinton at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
