Volleyball Recap: Portsmouth Christian Patriots vs. Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators
Portsmouth Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Gators this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat on October 9th.
The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 20-25, 25-12, 25-18.
Cloee Comberiati paced Portsmouth Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Comberiati got some help from Lyla Spence and her five assists. Lexi McLean controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Greenbrier Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Hannah Hess, who had nine digs and four aces.
Portsmouth Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9-1 record this season.
