Softball Recap: Starmount Has No Trouble Against North Stokes

Starmount had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt North Stokes on Tuesday. The Rams blew past the Vikings 12-2. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Starmount is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for North Stokes, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9-1.

Coming up, Starmount will head out to challenge Ashe County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Stokes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alleghany at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
