Baseball Game Preview: Garnet Valley Jaguars vs. Upper Dublin Cardinals

The Garnet Valley Jaguars are taking a road trip to challenge the Upper Dublin Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Garnet Valley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Garnet Valley was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Penncrest on Monday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 8-0 win.

Not much got past Ryan McGhee, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Penncrest off the board. McGhee has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chris Schaller, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Harrison Maull also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Upper Dublin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pennridge.

Garnet Valley now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Upper Dublin, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.
