Recap: Carolina Academy Trojans vs. Chapman Panthers
The Carolina Academy Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Chapman 62-30. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carolina Academy in their matchups with Chapman: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Carolina Academy still got an impressive performance from Trinity Mangle, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Chapman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Annastyn Smith, who scored 14 points along with six assists. Krislyn Wilder was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Carolina Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Chapman, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Carolina Academy will head out on the road to challenge Travelers Rest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chapman, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Union County at 6:00 p.m. Union County comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last nine games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
