Volleyball Recap: Corpus Christi Moody's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Corpus Christi Moody lost against Lopez back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans fell 2-0 to the Lobos. The loss put an end to the Trojans' undefeated start to the season.

Jasmine Cortinas was nothing short of spectacular for Lopez: she had 20 digs and 15 kills. Cortinas has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 35 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Pilar Martinez, who had 18 digs and one assist.

Corpus Christi Moody's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Lopez, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Corpus Christi Moody didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Sinton on the 16th. As for Lopez, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Southwest Legacy on the 16th.
