Football Game Preview: Joaquin Rams vs. Timpson Bears

The Joaquin Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Timpson Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Joaquin will be strutting in after a win while Timpson will be coming in after a defeat.

Joaquin took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed past Hemphill to the tune of 56-0. The Rams' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Amarion Wilson was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 37 yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Meanwhile, Timpson suffered their closest loss since November 1, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Shelbyville by a score of 17-14. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Joaquin now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Timpson, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Joaquin couldn't quite finish off Timpson when the teams last played back in October of 2024 and fell 52-49. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Bears' Braylon Parker, who rushed for 45 yards and two scores, and also threw for 176 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 passes. Now that the Rams know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
