Basketball Recap: Penn Hills Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

Penn Hills won the last time they faced West Mifflin and things went their way on Monday too. The Penn Hills Indians came out on top against the West Mifflin Titans by a score of 68-57. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Titans are ranked 474th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Penn Hills is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for West Mifflin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Coming up, Penn Hills will face off against Greensburg Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Greensburg Central Catholic has won three straight at home, while Penn Hills won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. West Mifflin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
