Softball Recap: Valley Christian Takes a Loss

Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 34-20 to the Tennyson Lancers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (11), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Tennyson, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.

Coming up, Valley Christian will challenge Urban at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Blues have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for Tennyson, they will square off against Mt. Eden at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Monarchs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.21 runs per game on average), something the Lancers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
