If North Brunswick wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cape Fear Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Lila Hammer. The Hurricanes walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Scorpions on Monday thanks in part to Hammer, who had 19 assists and ten digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 19 times she's played.

Cape Fear Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-11, 18-25, 25-20.

Cape Fear Academy pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Brunswick, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Cape Fear Academy will be playing at home against Wayne Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Brunswick, they will welcome Pender at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
