Tippecanoe put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Troy Trojans. For the Red Devils, this counts as revenge for the 5-0 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Cayden McKinney was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off nine hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

McKinney wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Preston Zumwalt, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Tippecanoe's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Troy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Troy will face off against Fairborn at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tippecanoe will be paying especially close attention to the Trojans' matchup: after the Trojans face off against the Skyhawks, they'll take on Tippecanoe again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
