Lake Pointe Academy came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Union Christian Day Eagles 60-24. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Mariners just coasted through the last quarter.

Lake Pointe Academy had a senior duo take command as James Jacobs posted 16 points and Stewart Settle earned 13 points. Jacobs is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Keagan Hiser, who put up eight points.

Lake Pointe Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for Union Christian Day, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.

Lake Pointe Academy will challenge Greenville Classical Academy at 7:50 p.m. on Friday. As for Union Christian Day, they will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
