Dugger Union hadn't done well against Hutsonville/Palestine recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted against the Tigers since September 17, 2022.

Sage Stahl paced Dugger Union's offense, picking up five kills. Stahl got some help from Abby Shepler and her five assists. Brenley Snyder controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Dugger Union and bumps their season record up to 5-14. As for Hutsonville/Palestine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dugger Union will welcome Lawrenceville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hutsonville/Palestine, they will take on Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
