Basketball Game Preview: Decatur Bulldogs vs. Tri-Cities Bulldogs

The Decatur Bulldogs will challenge the Tri-Cities Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Decatur knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Tri-Cities likes a good challenge.

Decatur is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Woodward Academy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They received a blow as they fell 77-62 to the War Eagles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (60), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tri-Cities, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They claimed a resounding 88-47 win over Dunwoody. That looming 88-47 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Tri-Cities has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.1 points per game. As for Decatur, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
