Recap: Bell Blue Raiders vs. Coppell Cowboys
The Bell Blue Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coppell. While losing is never fun, Bell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 903rd, while Coppell is ranked 153rd).
Despite the loss, Bell saw an underclassman step up: Keyaun Williams scored 18 points. The match was Williams' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mason Erickson, who scored 5 points.
Bell has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Coppell, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Bell's road trip will continue as they head out to face Southlake Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Southlake Carroll will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Coppell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Horn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Horn has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three contests.
