The Westlake Demons will head out to challenge the Normandy Invaders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Westlake is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Tuesday. They lost 14-6 to Lakewood. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Demons, who until this game were averaging four runs allowed.

Westlake got a big performance out of Benjamin Lasinis, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Sean Brouillard was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Normandy didn't have quite enough to beat Buckeye on Tuesday and fell 4-2. The Invaders have struggled against the Bucks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Normandy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cullen Rooney, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Westlake's record now sits at 9-5. As for Normandy, their record is now 4-6.

Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Westlake has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .468. However, it's not like Normandy struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
