Baseball Recap: Palmer Trinity Beats Dr. Krop for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Palmer Trinity entered their tilt with Dr. Krop on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Dr. Krop Lightning 14-1. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 7-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Joshua Martinez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Palmer Trinity let Michael Miraglia and Kevin Prieto run wild. Miraglia scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Prieto scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. That's the most runs Prieto has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Barcinas Jr., who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Palmer Trinity always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dr. Krop only posted an OBP of .263.

Palmer Trinity's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Dr. Krop, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Coming up, Palmer Trinity will head out on the road to challenge Monsignor Pace at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dr. Krop, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Flanagan at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
