Northport is a perfect 7-0 against Copiague since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 5:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Northport and North Babylon meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-4 win. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Copiague entered their tilt with Huntington on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 15-14 W against the Blue Devils. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Adrian Cruz was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Gutierrez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Copiague always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Copiague's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Northport, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Everything went Northport's way against Copiague when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Northport made off with a 10-1 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
