Preview: Livingston Academy vs. Upperman
On Friday Upperman take on Livingston Academy at 7:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Upperman was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything went their way against Smith County last Friday as they made off with a 36-12 win. No one had a better game by the numbers than senior Blake Metzgar, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Livingston Academy were fully in charge, breezing past Cumberland County 41-3. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-3.
Their wins bumped Upperman to 3-0 and Livingston Academy to 2-1. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Livingston Academy and Upperman will really light up the scoreboard.
