Brody Zediker posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out 11 batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for Yreka: the team is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-11 otherwise.

Zediker's strong effort led Yreka over Central Valley and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
