Football Recap: Cardinal Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Cardinal and Van Buren County, and Van Buren County kept the tradition alive. The Comets received a blow on Friday as they fell 29-12 to the Warriors. The Comets were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2022.

Cardinal's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Van Buren County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardinal will challenge Regina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Comets their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Van Buren County, they will square off against Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
