Preview: American Fork Cavemen vs. Lone Peak Knights
The American Fork Cavemen will head out on the road to square off against the Lone Peak Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. American Fork knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Lone Peak likes a good challenge.
Even though Pleasant Grove scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, American Fork still came out on top. American Fork took their contest against Pleasant Grove 69-56.
Meanwhile, even though Skyridge scored an imposing 68 points on Tuesday, Lone Peak still came out on top. Lone Peak came out on top in a nail-biter against Skyridge and snuck past 70-68. The victory was nothing new for Lone Peak as they're now sitting on three straight.
Lone Peak's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomsen Kramer, who scored 20 points along with seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Taylor, who scored 20 points.
American Fork now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Lone Peak, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
American Fork came up short against Lone Peak in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 57-52. Can American Fork avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
