Elko is a perfect 10-0 against Churchill County since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Greenwave at 3:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Elko has six straight victories, Churchill County has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Elko's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Lowry as they made off with a 4-0 win. Elko might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by four goals or more this season.

They hit Lowry with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sorel Barajas (2), Alexander Macedo, and Santiago Garibay.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Churchill County after they claimed the first goal on Saturday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Fernley by a score of 2-1.

Churchill County used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Fernley. Benny Galeno played for 80 minutes having averaged 51.1 this season and Angel Barajas got 69 vs. an average of 46.6. Barajas made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Elko's victory bumped their record up to 8-3-3. As for Churchill County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-1.

Everything went Elko's way against Churchill County when the teams last played back in September, as Elko made off with an 8-0 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Greenwave have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
