Basketball Game Preview: Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers vs. Grant Park Dragons

Gardner-South Wilmington and Grant Park are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2021, but not for long. The Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Grant Park Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gardner-South Wilmington is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Gardner-South Wilmington was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-42 to Grace Christian Academy.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 52-11, which was the final score in Grant Park's tilt against Clifton Central on Monday. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Grant Park's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Gardner-South Wilmington strolled past Grant Park in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 35-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gardner-South Wilmington since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
