Basketball Game Preview: High Point Academy Grizzlies vs. Greenville Tech Charter Warriors

The High Point Academy Grizzlies will take on the Greenville Tech Charter Warriors in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in High Point Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matchups.

Last Tuesday, High Point Academy was fully in charge, breezing past Brashier Middle College Charter 86-29. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

High Point Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Copeland, who went 8 of 11 en route to 19 points along with eight boards and five assists. Those 19 points gave Copeland a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Sean Sanders, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 16 points along with six assists and six boards.

High Point Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Greenville Tech Charter was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 54-49 to Liberty. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

High Point Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Greenville Tech Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
