Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Jackee Rigsby stepped things up a notch to give Smith County the 'W'. Rigsby turned in nothing short of a gem: she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits.
Rigsby and Smith County will stay at home for another game and welcome Macon County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Smith County has some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since May of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
