Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Gets the Win

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against East Noble, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cadets had just enough and edged out the Knights 3-2. For the Cadets, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 18-25, 25-19, 19-25, 15-12.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran found their leader in sophomore Aaron Linder, who had 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Linder. Evan Armstead also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for East Noble, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran will face off against rival Carroll at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, East Noble is set to square off against their familiar foe New Haven at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
