Taunton and Durfee are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2021, but not for long. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Hilltoppers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Taunton will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Taunton and King Philip Regional had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors on Thursday.

Taunton was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-23, 25-22.

Taunton can attribute much of their success to Dantae Bauer, who had 13 digs and two assists. Maddox Chaves also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Durfee got the win against Scituate on Monday by a conclusive 3-0.

Taunton's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Durfee, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Taunton came up short against Durfee when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
