Basketball Recap: Lake Wales Takes a Loss

Lake Wales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gateway Charter Griffins. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by exactly four points.

Lake Wales' loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Gateway Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Lake Wales will take on Sebring on Wednesday. Sebring is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season. Gateway Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
