            Softball Preview: Parkway Christian Eagles vs. Clarenceville Trojans        
        
		
        
        
            Parkway Christian is 1-6 against Clarenceville since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The Eagles will venture away from home to  challenge the Trojans  at 4:30  p.m. Parkway Christian has given up an average of 13  runs per game this season, but Thursday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Parkway Christian couldn't beat Oakland Christian  on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Eagles lost  21-6 to the Lancers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Frankie Gray made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI and one  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josie Boutorwick, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Clarenceville fell victim to Southfield Christian and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They came up short against  the Eagles, falling  20-0. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
 Clarenceville's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Parkway Christian, they now  have a losing record of 6-7.
 Parkway Christian took their  win against Clarenceville  when the teams last played  back in April by a conclusive  18-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
