Volleyball Recap: Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Starts off Right with Win over Fisher

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Fisher Gators by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 18-25, 25-18, 26-24.

Leading Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy to victory were Michelle Macnish and Valerie Huete. Macnish had 12 assists and three aces, while Huete had six kills, three digs, and two aces. Those three digs gave Huete a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy will square off against West Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fisher, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
