Softball Recap: Mohawk Area Triumphs

Mohawk Area won against South Park on Wednesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Warriors beat the Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Mohawk Area's victory bumped their record up to 17-6-1. As for South Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mohawk Area will host St. Marys at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Flying Dutch's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Park, they will be playing at home against Sharon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
