Volleyball Recap: Highlands Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Highlands had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Smoky Mountain Mustangs on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Highlanders of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-12.

Coincidentally, Highlands and Smoky Mountain will both be playing Hayesville the next time they take the court. The Highlanders will head out to face the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Mustangs will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
