Monroe's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Clinton Cougars. The Cheesemakers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

While Monroe won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 25-21.

Monroe's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Clinton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Monroe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Delavan-Darien on the 9th. As for Clinton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Turner on the 7th.
