Basketball Recap: Lake View Takes a Loss

Lake View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 34-8 to the Carvers Bay Bears. The Wild Gators were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-3.

D'Essence Graham was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten boards for Carvers Bay. Graham's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmyn Jenkins, who posted seven points and four steals.

Lake View's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Carvers Bay, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake View has already played their next match (against Johnsonville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Carvers Bay will welcome Green Sea Floyds at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Sea Floyds has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
