Hawthorne's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 14-5 margin over the Wildwood Wildcats. Considering the Hornets have won five games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brody McAuley and Tison Thomas made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, McAuley pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Thomas struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.
