Soccer Game Preview: Royal vs. White Swan

The Royal Knights will challenge the White Swan Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Royal has six straight wins, White Swan has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Royal's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. Everything went their way against Naches Valley as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Royal's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six contests.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for White Swan's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of College Place last Friday.

Royal's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four games. As for White Swan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
