Baseball Recap: Horn Lake Takes a Loss

Horn Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-1 to the Hernando Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 16-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Horn Lake saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Richmond, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Richmond's first of the season.

Horn Lake now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Hernando, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-8-1.

Coming up, Horn Lake will host Hickory Flat at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hernando, they will head out on the road to square off against Horn Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
