Celeste and Campbell are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. Celeste will be playing at home against Campbell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Celeste has seven straight victories, Campbell has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Campbell's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Celeste hadn't allowed a single run the last five times they've hit the field. Celeste never let Cooper get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Friday. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

Morgan Nickell was a standout: she scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Emily McDaniel, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Celeste hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in 17 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Campbell came up short against Saltillo on Monday, falling 19-1.

Celeste pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Campbell, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
