Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stanhope Elmore). They strolled past the Calhoun Tigers with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 66-47. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Calhoun's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyriana Martin, who posted 19 points and four steals. What's more, Martin also racked up three boards, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lillian Timmons, who earned eight points.

Stanhope Elmore's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Calhoun, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Stanhope Elmore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-38 defeat against Wetumpka on the 9th. As for Calhoun, they will face off against Blacksher at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
