Soccer Recap: Cape Fear Victorious

The Cape Fear Colts were able to grind out a solid victory over the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. Gavin Noopon had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Cape Fear got from the refs.

Aiden Hale and Francisco Garcia Rodriguez scored all three of Cape Fear's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Cape Fear's win bumped their record up to 5-2-2. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4-1 record this season.

Cape Fear will square off against Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Cape Fear's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against Goldsboro on the 17th.
