Softball Recap: Cedar Bluff Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Cedar Bluff had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Gaston Bulldogs a 16-0 shutout on Thursday. The game marked the Tigers' most dominant win of the season.

Jaycee Cagle was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Kylie Vadon was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Cedar Bluff's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Gaston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13-1 record this season.

Cedar Bluff will face off against Ohatchee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gaston, they will head out on the road to face off against Gadsden City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
