Soccer Game Preview: Crestwood vs. Wilkes-Barre

The Crestwood Comets will take on the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crestwood has given up an average of 3.7 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Crestwood came up short against Wyoming Valley West on Friday, falling 7-2. Crestwood have struggled against Wyoming Valley West recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Wilkes-Barre was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They fell just short of Lake-Lehman by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Wilkes-Barre can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while Lake-Lehman are ranked 37th).

Wilkes-Barre's goal came courtesy of Josh Tapia, who's now up to three this season.

Wilkes-Barre's loss dropped their record down to 9-6-2. As for Crestwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1.

Crestwood suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Wilkes-Barre when the teams last played back in September. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Comets were down 5-0.
