Southwest SD has gone 8-2 against Castle Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Raiders will take on the Trojans in a holiday battle at 12:00 p.m. Southwest SD is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.

Southwest SD's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Kearny with a sharp 3-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Southwest SD's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 178th, while Kearny are ranked 595th).

Southwest SD hit Kearny with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Oscar Alonso, Isaac Bautista, and Bryan Silva.

Meanwhile, neither Castle Park nor Olympian could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Southwest SD's win bumped their record up to 4-1. Castle Park's draw gives them a new season record of 0-5-2.

Southwest SD beat Castle Park by a goal in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
