Baseball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

Lafayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Sam Houston Broncos, falling 7-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Thursday.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Sam Houston, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

Lafayette will take on New Iberia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sam Houston, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Kinder on the 6th.
