Baseball Recap: Land O' Lakes Starts Season with Win Against Wesley Chapel

Land O' Lakes took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Wesley Chapel Wildcats 8-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Gators also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Land O' Lakes got a great performance from Nick Schwartz as he didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Barclay, who scored four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Santi Busot, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
